Mrs Sharon Evans (f)

Urgent Care Matron                      

Qualifications: RGN, BSc (Hons) Health Studies, NMC Registered Mentor, NVQ Assessor and Verifier

Professional Interests: Urgent Care in Primary Care, Diabetes, Practice Nursing, Research and Audit, Kernow Health Strategic Practice Nurse Group and Student Nurse Mentorship.

Personal Interests: Crafts, spending time with the family, hiking and walking, genealogy and sport including football.

Practice Nurses (f)

These appointments vary from 10 to 30 minutes duration depending on the type of request presented. These appointments are booked in advance.

They will change dressings, remove sutures, perform immunisations, smear tests, etc. They also provide specialist advice on diabetes care, asthma and heart disease.

To assist the receptionists, it would be helpful to share the reason for your appointment to ensure you are booked with an appropriate clinician and allocated the appropriate amount of time.

These appointments vary from 10 to 30 minutes duration depending on the type of request presented. These appointments are booked in advance.

Our Healthcare Assistants carry out blood tests, ear syringing, blood pressure monitoring and ECGs.
